To anyone that has done a walk-in, has anyone done it in the Wheaton Center in Maryland? Do they allow walk-ins? I have huge anxieties about doing that but at this point, I might have to brave it since my EAD expires soon after. For those of you that have done walk-ins, does it have to be the mailed copy or can it be a copy printed from the ELIS website?
I'm pretty sure u can print it out from ELIS I mean the only difference might be the paper quality but in essence it's the same paper with the same barcodes.

I don't think my employer will bring up that my EAD is expiring but I want to hear what would be the best option.

Should I just work like nothing happened or should I take a break from work? If I were to stop working and assuming that they will take me back, should I do some sort of unpaid leave or resign and then get rehired?

My time timeline.

Accepted - 5/12/2016
Bio done - 6/23/2016

Expires on 9/4/2016
I expire on the same date. There's still time!
On my end, I do suggest to be honest with your employer and just give them a heads up. Although you aren't required to notfiy them, since they should know your expiration, it is commendable that you be straight forward and honest with them showing that you value your job. Chances are they can work something out that works best for you and them. All I can say is: be honest and pray over the results, consults, and people that are involved. We're almost there! (:

Just made an Infopass appointment (for 9/13), a case status inquiry (pending reply by 9/11), an Ombudsman case assistance request, and an email to NILC. Let's see how this goes for me. I've already come to terms with the fact that I'll probably be FUNemployed for a few months. Shitty shitty truth.

How Long thus it take to get a Bio appointment after they received it, they sent me a receipt that they received it on the 9th but I haven't heard anything from them since then. How can I get ELIS account?

I was just told by my manager to submit resignation in case HR does not approve 30 days non paid leave because termination stays on your perminent file and all. I suggest those who are facing inevitable termination do the same.

These days have been tough my friends...

My boyfriend was informed they will terminate him on 9/4 if his approval does not come before then. They will also only hold his position for a week after.

Here's to USCIS getting their shit together and approving him soon. If not ..... i don't know what we will do.

Wishful thinking. There's no predicting with USCIS, so don't even try

That sounds interesting, but considering it came from a tier 1 rep and how much BS they're known for spewing, I'd be inclined not to believe that's possible. I hope I'm wrong.

Just tried to walk in, my appointment was set for sept 16 but they denied me even though I told them how long it took for me to get the notice and I said I would be out of town that day as well, they told me to reschedule to which I said no because my documents might expire by then so they rescheduled me right there for the 9th of September which buys me a week I guess...

Did you say anything in specific when you walked in for your biometrics prior to the actual appointment date? I'm planning on going tomorrow because they scheduled mine about two weeks before my expiration date, but I'm not sure if there's a specific way to approach this or if it just depends on the center you go to.
