Has anyone tried to do a walk in prior to the biometrics appointment in Houston (Northwest Freeway location)?

I hesitate to share this with you guys because of how useless the information is. However, I got an email from Nebraska Service Center regarding a service request I submitted on the I-765. Here's what they said:

Quote:

The status of this service request is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days you have not received anything in the mail, please contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at the number provided below.

Your Tier II was spitting out info that we already know. March 16 is the date listed on the processing times page of the USCIS website. I'm sorry they were not any more helpful.

Are they really going that slow? I think we were May 13th .... that means we are going to be waiting quite a while.

Luckily both sets of our parents have room for us if we can't make ends meet on just my salary.

no word from my HR. I expire on September 4th...

I leave on a trip tonight and don't return for work until the 6th. The possibility of not having a job when I get back is daunting. Hoping for the best.

If you have time try another location

hey sorry to bother you but I saw your post about waiting a long time to get your bios and how you finally went about to getting an ELIS account and such. I'm starting to be in the same boat, I created a USCIS account but I never got the code through mail, how did you get yours through the phone? I called them a while ago and said I had to contact them through their website first.

thanks if you can help me

Just tried walking in to my biometrics appointment and got denied. My appt date was originally scheduled for 10/11/2016, 2 days after my EAD card expiration date. I got through the initial check, but when I filled out the form and handed it back to the security guard, he asked me why I came early. I told him my EAD is going to expire if I wait to do biometrics on the actual appt date - and that USCIS sent me the wrong notices twice etc. and he handed my documents to his supervisor.

The supervisor asked me to reschedule. I told her I want to reschedule it to the earliest date possible. She said apparently, my appointment has already been rescheduled to 09/14/16 - but no one ever notified me. I tried to push her to reschedule me to even sooner - she told me no because that's already pretty early. The link to the appt notice on ELIS still shows the one on 10/11/2016. Interestingly, now they changed my address back to the one I filed with, but I filed an address change request on 07/31/16, which they pretty much ignored.

I am still planning to go to my InfoPass appointment tomorrow and see if they could get an earlier date for me or if they can write me some sort of letter so I can walk in earlier than my appt date - and to update my address to my current one. 3 weeks after biometrics is still pretty tight...I guess at least now it's before my EAD exp date...
