Thank you. Of course I ll never forget where I came from, I still come to these forums and try to help out people as much as I can. The process can be overwhelming and stressful and I try to answer as much as I can so they dont spend money on attorneys.

I say I dont feel safe only because we hear stories about green card holders still being detained, revoking their GC for the most benign reasons. I m staying on the down low in the meantime until I can naturalize.

Hi all, just wanted to share my AOS experience. I adjusted through marriage earlier this year.

Married on 2/24.
Sent AOS packet 5/26
USCIS Received 6/9
RFE for Affidavit of Support 6/26 (sent in W-2s instead of tax returns).
Sent RFE Response online 6/27
Interview scheduled 9/3
Interview 10/09

Approved on the spot after the interview. I had sent in an advance parole request in my AOS packet that never got approved (it was for my honeymoon). Wife mentioned it to the officer and he gave me an I-551 stamp in my passport. FYI, that stamp is good for travel and it is evidence of having permanent residence status. I received my GC in the mail on 10/24 so I didn’t even need to use my stamp. I want to wish everyone on this site the best and hope everyone finally gets their green card and citizenship!
