DAMN. I'm so mad I didn't send my app earlier, because yourmom233, we have such similar timelines.

I put too much faith in USCIS having their shit together and cared too much about not wanting my EAD dates to overlap.

Maybe this means I'll hear back soon, cause you're mid-April, and I'm early May.

They are clearly bouncing around through applications. In no way are they approving in any order.

My lawyer offered to go with me to my InfoPass appointment for $300. What do you guys think should I pay my lawyer to go with me or should I just go by myself?

I'm going to try and walk in tomorrow. They took forever to schedule my biometrics and now that it's scheduled it's about two weeks from my expiration date and I feel like that will be too late. My appointment is for the northwest location off of 290 and I've heard that people were turned back at that location and that the southeast location is much more relaxed, but I feel like I should first try at the location they sent me to.

I know it's their job but your lawyer isn't helping you whatsoever and is trying to get as much out your pocket...

Is it not an issue if we don't get our biometrics completed at the location they made our appointment at?

A lot of people are saying that the location I got sent to is strict and has been turning people away when they try to walk in and there's another center that people have been lucky about walking in that's close to me, but it's not the location mentioned on my biometric appointment sheet. I'm leaving work to get this done, so I want to do what's more efficient.

There is very little a lawyer can do for you at an infopass. They themselves admitted that they don't know much of what is happening at the services centers. If the IT problem is still going on or has been resolved recently we have no other option but to wait. USCIS would never issue a benefit without a completion of all the steps required. (If background checks are still pending as we have heard)
