Went back around 1:30 PM and was in and out in 5 minutes. I literally filled up the form and on the way to my seat was called up. Manager did tell me that doing walk-ins wouldn't speed up your process (something I'm sure we talked about before on this forum), nonetheless, won't hurt.
What's the link you used, because I can't seem to find mine?

Oh okay, thanks! I most likely will do a walk in at the gulf freeway location tomorrow since everyone has been telling me that that one is not as busy; however, it's not the location that my appointment shows so we'll see. I thought that my case would somehow be sped up if I completed my biometrics before, but they scheduled mine a week before expiration so I can't wait until then.

Oh no, I wasn't planning on calling them, I'm looking it up on google and just what people are posting online.

We'll see if I do it, I might chicken out. I've never done walk-ins in all the years I've been dealing with USCIS (before DACA even).

I don't recall if I did, but I wouldn't think twice if they asked.

Exactly!! They could have simply extended everyone's EAD for 4 months or whatever using a I-797c letter immediately after the data issue they had. USCIS is so irresponsible.

So I had a call with HR and my boss today. They want to keep me on while I get approved. Its being "worked out".

I won't have a valid license in the meantime so i'm thinking of getting AB-60 Driver License.

Has anyone thought about getting that in the meantime while DACA is delayed? Is it even worth getting it? Will it arrive in time? (sorry for all the questions, but now that I will still be working I need to figure my transportation out)
