For those of you who did the walk-in for bio and was successful, do you have any advice? I'm planning to do one tomorrow and could use any advice from your experiences. I know it's different for locations but anything would be helpful!

Finally renewed this afternoon. USCIS can still go fuck themselves for their incompetence and dismissive attitude that is actively ruining so many fellow DACAers' lives.

Application received: 04/07/2016
DACA expired: 08/17/2016
DACA renewed: 09/01/2016

Grats man. It's ridiculous that your EAD renewed 2 weeks after it expired. Probably another 2 weeks for the card to be in production + shipped to you also.

I didn't get any text or email. Just checked the ELIS site.

Lol I contacted NILC this morning... I guess I'll have to tell them "never mind"...

I'm a lucky one because I'm currently in school (no jobs to lose, no career ruined, etc.). The only inconvenience I suffered was bumming rides from my roommate.

Just got out from the gulf freeway location! My biometrics were taken and I feel so relieved lol. It was the second time I tried walking in and this time they took my biometrics. Walking in later in the afternoon definitely worked. Thanks for the tip!

The best thing to do for a successful walk-in seems to be to just make sure to go when the ASC is not busy. So you can:
  1. Choose an ASC location that you know is not busy
  2. Go during off-peak hours, like after lunch or before closing.

When you get there don't tell them you are trying a walk-in, just hand your form over and act normal. But have an explanation ready in case they do happen to ask you why you're there early or if they turn you away. Usually people just say that they will be out of town on the date of their appt. but then they might ask for proof.

And that's about it. Hopefully you're successful!
