After emailing my Dm yesterday my company recruiter just emailed asking how long before I receive my Ead? I'm assuming 2 weeks, is that correct ???

I moved to Michigan a few months back and changed my address. I went to the Detroit office. Pulaski used to be the one I used to be assigned to. That office it depends on the mood of the people there.

I keep on getting these messages from ELIS that my account has been updated. But, when I log in, I find nothings changed. Anyone else have this problem?

It's toying with me. It gives me hope, then it brings me down.

Can someone please post an example of their email to NILC? Im planning to email reply@nilc.org today, but dont know how specific to get in terms of my receipt number, alien number, etc in my intial email? Thanks for your help!

Put all your information pertaining to your case. As when you submit and inquiry on the USCIS website, only add your expiration date.

Then add a brief description of how much you will suffer if your work permit does not get renewed on time.

Congrats on the approval. My brother was approved 8/18 in CSC, card went into production 8/24 and today 9/1 he received his EAD in the mail. So yeah about 2 weeks if they don't mess up anything on their end. I would still try to shoot for a little over 2 weeks to cover all bases.

Judging by the others 2 weeks sounds good and 3 weeks max it seems

I'm hoping we get approved tomorrow as well! It's my birthday tomorrow, so that would be a great bday present. And yes, I'm hoping this business plan works out. I'm trying to get a home staging business off the ground (making homes look more attractive to encourage a quicker sale). I also want to eventually get into real estate and flip houses. We'll see what happens! *crosses fingers*

Yes, I totally agree. I've had an itch to start a business for a long time but didn't know exactly what I wanted to do at the time. I've had a couple years to think about it, and now this whole delay has been the catalyst for putting some plans together. I'd rather be self sufficient than have to constantly depend on someone else for my income.
