i know freinds that live in nm, now with that being said i heard there was check points.. also i live in az so i can get a foeign passport?? what they need for this? and does it take long to get? can i get one in az or nm? i'm thinking of going soon. update me someone! please!!

That's just great.

You can obtain a foreing passport at a consulate office (here in the United States) of your home country.

Call your local consulate to find out what documents you need in order to obtain a passport.

I know for a Mexican Passport you receive it the same day as your apointment with the consulate (appointments only take a couple days to get) same with a Matricula ID Card.

You only need one or the other to apply for a New Mexico Drivers License.

If you choose to go with the Matricula ID Card, you need to obtain it from a consulate within the state of New Mexico, if you go with a Foreign Passport the location of the consulate does not matter.

Just get a passport, you will need a passport once the DA passes anyway.

I will play it safe for now, traveling seems risky to me. Like my uncle says "Tengo la licensia de dios" which means "I have god's license" which for me is good enough.
