Is it expired? You cannot fly with expired identification.
I still have a couple more months left on it, but I'm starting to freak out about not being able to drive anymore. Driving and this forum are the only two things that have kept me sane so far.

My dad drives every week to WA for his job (truck driver) and he says that it is relatively safe to drive around WA (Well he only drives half way thru WA). IF you happen to drive thru Oregon, my dad says that he has seen the Migra before... but it could of been the forest rangers that also have similiar autos like the Migra.
Just asked my dad again,.. He says that it is Safe... Good Luck .

If we go as a group where would we stay? We need proof of residence.

and only one name can appear on each bill and addy. So if we all use the same address and all the bills have to have dif. names.Like someone else here said, if a bill has more than 1 name u need more proofs.

So I think groups of 2 are best 3 tops. So when we show the bills we can say we roommate and share the bills. But a group of 5+would look suspicious.

If you do not have a person who actually lives in WA to help you out. I would advise on not even bothering.

You can obtain a utility bill in your own name using just a Tax ID Number.

I obtained a Comcast Bill with just my name (it arrived in under 7 days of signing up)
Since I was not at the address I needed to write a letter giving written permission for the adult present (my friend) to have the service installed on my behalf + provide them with a copy of my passport (or any valid ID).

The 1st month service bill + installation was around $45.

For proof of identity bring:
Matricula ID Card
Foreign Passport
High School Transcript (Needs to be Official - Sealed in the envelope your school provided).
Official copy of your birth certificate, can not be a photocopy.

You take the knowledge test the same day it's 25 question and you need to get 20 right. You can also apply for a Washington state ID on the first day.

Then depending on if you passes the knowledge test you can schedule an appointment for the driving test which takes on average 7 calendar days.

For the driving test the car only needs to be insured and registered in the state of WA under the owners name, not yours.

If you pass everything you get a temporary license the same day, while your real drivers license card is processed and mailed to you within 30 days.

That section on their website that talks about having to sign a form if you don't have a Social Security Number is just there to scare out of state people from trying to get a license there. When you apply they never bring it up.

The state is fully aware that they are providing a drivers license to undocumented immigrants, and want to keep it that way.

After taking a second look, they added back a school yearbook with recognizable photo so that could replace the Matricula ID Card

The passport does not need any stamp and either has to be valid or expired no more than 5 years.

im a bit hesitant because after a bit of research on this board it seems like amtrak or greyhound is risky, at this point im guessing NM is a better choice as its closer for me.

has anyone actually taken a train or bus to WA or NM?

Ok, so i decided to go to NM for a try. my concern is the check points around alberquerque.

I have a friend who has a valid license but he is also a dreamer, when we get stopped at the check points, do they only check driver license? or do they get into depth and ask for passports and other doc?

also, would they ask the passengers for IDs?

Its exactly what my dad did but instead of getting it from WA he got one from NM since its closer to us. He used to have an Arizona drivers license but he lost it in a car accident and since then he hasnt gotten it back. Since i started driving allready he wants to do the same thing and go to New mexico and get a Drivers license, but i think about it is it even worth anything on another state ?
