I understand what you said just fine. Not commenting on that. My question was, why bring race in this as the question was would you date an undocumented person?

Are you talking to me? If so, another poster said he/she doesn't identify with Mexicans and gets along better with Caucasians and Asians. That's why I brought it up. I'm not trying to turn this into race. I was only asking them that question.

How do you know if I'm not already? In terms of love what is the difference between a US resident and an undocumented individual? Should I choose a legal resident just because they are legal? Will that somehow give me residency?

One of my aunts has two kids with a US resident and the lawyer has advice them not to apply for her yet because she will most likely be denied. Its not as easy as it was before. So what really is the difference?

Fall in love with whomever you want, continue living your life, continue advocating for the Dream Act, pushing for CIR, live life for what its for and don't try to plan out every little aspect of your life.

if you are then let me ask you something?? did your life get easier or more stressful??

let me tell you the difference and i don't care if you or anyone like it or not

Did not marry for a GC whatsoever but i'll tell you why a USC is better

I'll be able to adjust thanx to him
I'll be able to afford a lawyer if i ever need one thanx to him
Don't have to worry about how my bills are going to be paid-- not like i have any anyway
Money isn't a problem. i can afford what i want--- not like i spend money on stupid things
I have health insurance thanx to him
I get to travel around the US thanx to him
I get to drive a nice car thanx to him
ETC ETC

My life is a whole lot better and i thank god every day for bringing this wonderful man in my life. im not saying you cant be happy being married to someone in your situation.. i just feel like it would make things a lot harder. how can you provide for him or her without a job if you don't have any??

ICE can come to my house whenever they want and that's something him as a USC can't prevent

You know, I understand the dates, but those funny letters and numbers on the right, I have no idea what they mean. I'm assuming they refer to various forms and paperwork.

Looks like everything's under process and you're doing great. Congratulations.

What are your plans now?

I-130/ I-485 are the forms to fill out in order to get your GC. I-765 gives you the right to work. NOA is Notice of Action, basically it tells you your form have been received, if your approve or denied. Biometrics is when you go get your finger prints and pictures taken. I was very nervous lol. no need to congratulate me yet..

umm as of right now im just a housewife. will be moving to CA next year permanently.. As soon as i get my GC i will go back home to visit my grand parents before they die and my dad. will go back to school to get my BA and i really want to join the Air Force. At first i wanted to be an A gang on a submarine just like my husband but i can't swim haha.

it's all in god's hand!! Are you waiting for DA/CIR or are you married also?
