If you trust random strangers, then you are a fool. We live in a world thats cruel and real, and everyone is out to get themselves ahead.

Be vigilant in buying stuff. Not because they say its authentic, it really is authentic. Come to think of it, why would big designer names sell their products cheap? It only happens when they are on sale...at their own stores/ outlet.
With the crisis and all, you should not be spending much on stuff, especially on the knock- offs.

OMG You guys!!

We scanned the boxes on our iphones and the product came up as authentic. We took our original perfumes and compared it and it smells THE SAME!! Hence, we believed the guy.

The only difference (we realized later) is that they are alcohol based perfumes which means the smell evaporates within 15-20 mins .

Jesus freaking christ! I thought you guys were family and we are out here helping each other out. Hence, I could share my experience and take suggestions.

this is how you got fooled....now I'm not even into counterfeit perfumes but I guesstimate it's how it's done:

Some cheesy code which may be scanned then printed from the original will of course 'show' the same info as the original. Think of counterfeit dvd's. Some of the packaging will still show the original's bar code.

My guess is to keep perfumes 'authentic' a bunch of the real stuff is bought, put in a big tub, diluted with mad quantities of alcohol and then re-bottled. Since the knock off now doesn't contain the same quantity of aromatic oils and more alcohol content, shit'll smell the same, but won't last the same....they've essentially made a cologne out of it.

Like I said, I know jack shit about perfumes, but this goes through my mind when a deal that's too good to be true pops up. Think of your experience as having invested on another lesson from the school of life. Having said that, just black mail the guy that he's gonna get reported if you don't get your cash....use your street smarts yo.

I'm new to this but I recently went to an auction that I frequent, and the auctioneer stated that everything they were selling was authentic, the real product. I examined The products thoroughly and they appear to be genuine and real. When I got home and open the products they were fakes. Not only did they have products claiming that they were real Estee Lauder Prada Chanel perfume's when you open the boxes, they were clearly fakes. I went back to the auction house and spoke with them regarding this they said they would make it right however they stated that the person that brought the products and to be auctioned is responsible and I need to wait until they return to their auction house for yet another option selling the same fraudulent Items.

I feel bad for the people that purchased thousands of dollars worth of these Products while I am only out $60 for three bottles. They also auctioned off purses claiming they two were original authentic real product yet they were two were fakes.

Does anyone know who I report this to since when I spoke to the auction house and said that it is illegal to sell fake products posing them as the real thing they said that they were not responsible how could that be possible when they are the ones who are realizing income from the sales?

Oh shit. I thought this was a new thread. I saw Chyno commented and I got excited, but noticed it was from 2011. Where are you Chyno? Miss you buddy.
