I think the confusion over the education requirement comes in the wording of it.
Currently be in school, have graduated from high school, have obtained a general education development certificate, or are honorably discharged veterans of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States;
"Currently be in school" may refer to those undocumented youths who have not yet graduated high school.

For those who have graduated a highschool or have a GED, this should suffice. There is not stipulation that one must apply to college or join the military like the DREAM Act.

Similarly, those who have obtained a college diploma, there is no requirement that you continue with your education.

The second point of contention I read about involves proving that you are physically present on today's date, that is the day Obama announced this executive decision.

This is a bit confusing but I think if you can prove you meet the age and continuous residency requirements, you should be okay. The reason being, how many of the estimated 1 million potential beneficiaries knew to read through this memo's FAQ and subsequently obtain the necessary documents that prove they were here on this very day. (Nevertheless my paranoid ass went out and got a document notarized). In retrospect though, this is more than likely not necessary.

If you left the country, USCIS would have record of your departure. Hence, if they have no record save for the date of your entry, then it is safe to assume that you have never left. This is what the FAQ means by showing school, medical, financial, employment, military, or other sorts of records to prove your presence.

Finally, the approach to take to this unexpected turn of events is one of guarded optimism.

This is great news, and the way Obama handled that racist, disrespectful reporter who interrupted him during his announcement, was golden. Nevertheless, true cause for celebration comes when we each our granted deferred action and receive our long-awaited work permits.

I have a Work Authorization and state id that states temp resident not allowed for re-entry and I traveled to Puerto Rico! It's U.S territory!! You must book one way flights. I suggest waiting until the official documents are out for travel before thinking about it. Advanced Parol is not a good option for anyone that was here unlawfully! It triggers a 3-10yrs bar if you leave. Although, they will let you in the U.S with it...when the time comes for you to adjust status to permenabt residence you maybe denied. I say wait fit the new forms to come out in 2 months before you think you have a chance to travel. It's not worth it unless the fine print days it won't be held against you in the future. Going to Puerto Rico is ok on flights that don't connect to other countries. If your plane lands in another country on route to the US...you're ficked!!!

Does anyone have any idea how much will the process be? is it gonna be free? or like any other application we have to pay like 300$, or 400$? I havent heard anything... and a lot of us do not have that kind of money... just wondering..

and also do you think we will be able to have a license to drive? Bcs whats the point of having a job we cant get to? (of course when it comes to the job part)

the fact that we -- dreamers-- cant get deported is such a relief !!!

Dude, you can get a license and social security number from a work permit! F*ck yea, lol. As for the cost, i know there will be some cost associated to process it, but i don't know how much. Also, remember you'll be paying that cost when you have to renew it every 2 years.

I also have some guarded optimism on this. I won't ever be truly celebrating until one of us actually acquires the work permit.

I'm definitely worried about the denial part of this, you're basically rolling the dice and giving your info to ICE. If they deny you this makes it sound like they're coming for you.
