Let me make another point. There has been a lot of incidents where the cops make traffic stops and they shoot the person just because they reach to their pockets. The cops instantly think their life is in danger. There was one incident that happened recently and it involved a military/marine person who was stopped by cops and shot because of the same reason. How is this not considered life threatening if it went beyond? This went up a level into the physical altercation.

That's not my point. My point is that if your life is in danger, you will do whatever it takes to survive. I am not just talking about this case but also the basic needs such as shelter, water and food.

And why was his life in danger in the first place? he didn't listen to the 9/11 operators and knowing something could happened decided to stalk him.

Cops will never tell you to take action because of legal concerns. For example if they said to engage then they would get sued. Let me choke you, break your nose and slam your head against concrete and reach for your gun and tell me if you'd shoot me or you'd sit there and get shot with your own gun. Zimmermans life was in danger so he did the only thing he could; neutralize the attacker.
