2/11 - Went for my assessment test, ran 1 mile for 7 minutes ( I am surprised given my old age)

Given naturalization documents to fill up

In the next two weeks the FS leader will take me to Camp Pendleton to obtain an ID.

My PTO is draining like crazy god darn it

Correct me if I'm wrong, the policy of not being shipped until favorable SSBI does apply to everyone, but as far as I know I'll be able to choose my MOS to enlist being a reserve. AD get the placeholder MOS until the new delayed entry period ends.

From USAREC HQ :

"If you are a Regular Army MAVNI applicant in any immigration status and are enlisting for the first time on or after 22 Feb 2016; you will enlist into the delayed entry program with a placeholder MOS of 09B and have a placeholder shipdate of 1 year from this reservation. When your NIAC and SSBI results return favorably, your recruiter will be notified so you can be notified to return to the MEPS to negotiate your MOS and shipdate. This will help you better prepare for your future and will alleviate last minute ship date changes due to results not being present. Another reason for this change is that the exception process does not include any new enlistments on or after 22 Feb 2016, favorable results are required for all.

If you are a Reserve MAVNI applicant in any immigration status there is little change. You will enlist for an MOS/Reserve unit with a shipdate of at least 180 or 270 days depending on your immigration status. You will be required to have favorable SSBI results in order to ship to training, exceptions to policy to ship without SSBI results will not apply."

In another news, I just heard all OPI scheduling has been suspending as of today until further notice... sigh.

ETP is only for AD with favorable NIAC, pending ssbi and waited over 180 days. Yes, the new policy about the 09 bravo is true. you basically pick your mos when your ssbi comes favorable. Yeah I heard about the OPI deal too. Looks like the Army is getting tired of all this mess and might just shut it all down before September. Navy already stop taking mavnis since december.

The new policy of favorable ssbi shipping will come in effect through the next few weeks, but since they suspended opi that pretty much means no new enlistments.
