Ever flipped through something without really trying to analyze the contents, that's the same kind of a blank stare this dude had.

Not an AOS interview, an interview solely for I-130, normally those things just get rubber stamped the moment they see two IDs and a marriage certificate. Asshat was dead set on getting a lease too even though you don't need to sign one in NY.

Gathering up all the pictures, all the financials (money transfers, etc), gift receipts, and affidavits from family and friends.

Then I have to go to immigration court in January. Then if all goes well I have to do the waiver since Sessions went ahead and stole Advance Parole. Then I have to fly out and do consular processing.

Lets see if I can wrap everything up before March 18, 2019.
Hopefully, we get some legal status this year!

Can you give a timeline of how fast the process is once you file for marriage? Oh and also a brief estimated costs involved?

Sorry about what is happening to you.

Where did you get the interview?

Excuse my ignorance but are we supposed to go through 2 interviews then ? 1 for the i 130 and the other one for the AOS?

Interview was at the USCIS office in Holtsville, NY, which is my local field office, despite the fact that federal plaza is closer and easier to get to.

No, this only happens if you end up in removal proceedings before I-130 is filed, since the stupid USCIS policy is to assume fraud, regardless of how long has passed, basically you get one regardless of if you get an NTA and then quickly marry someone, or the proceedings happened over a decade ago.

Normally standalone I-130s are adjudicated without an interview.

So in my case I will have two interviews, the I-130 one, and one in a consulate for the immigrant visa, since I am ineligible for AOS due to EWI.

In the usual cases you only have one:
Overstay/AP: You file for AOS and just attend a single interview with a possibility for a second if you screwed up the first.
EWI: You file I-130 alone, get approved, get I-601A approved, do a consular interview abroad.

It depends on many factors, for example:

Did you enter without inspection (EWI), or did you enter legally?
How old were you the first time you entered the country? How old are you now?
Have you left and reentered the country?
Are you, or have you ever been, in removal proceedings?

Check with a lawyer.

That is quite the process. Hopefully it all goes well and on schedule. It seems you have more than enough evidence prove a bonafide case. I assume the officer is giving a hard time because he suspects fraud. Hopefully, the immigration court will see the evidence for what it is.

Perfect questioning. These are all variables that come into play and must each be addressed before filing.

I wasn’t bragging. Many dreamers have been able to move to AOS. I was one of the lucky ones that did. I know what it feels like to live in uncertainty, hell I still am. I do hope there’s a permanent fix for all of us dreamers.
