No. You have DACA because of President Obama... You do not have DACA because of Durbin or Schumer... Do not forget what happened in 2010. Durbin couldn't whip the votes...

I hope you remember what happened back in 2010 as well.. Does your memory only span the last year? And do not tell me that we have DACA because of the Democrats... We have DACA because of president Obama!

It's quite easy to understand:

1) Who's been pushing for the DREAM Act for the last 17 years? Democrats.

2) Who has done the most for DREAMers in the last 17 years? A Democrat.

3) The bill originally passed the house (208 democrats & 8 republicans voting yes), but failed in the Senate due to a filibuster by... republicans (there were 52 democrats and 3 republicans towards ending the filibuster).

4) Who has controlled the house for the last 6 years? Republicans.

5) Who swore to make Obama a one-term president and to oppose any policy measure back by democrats? A republican.

6) Who has been a divisive liar trying to drive a wedge amongst the democratic constituency? Gee.. a Republican.

There's really no benefit to democrats in supporting immigration. They could as easily jump on the nationalist/populist train and become socialist protectionists which would win them the blue collar vote, but here they are trying to push for additional immigration which leaves them with very defenses against the claim of benefiting foreigners over home grown Americans.

Durbin was the one to ask Obama for help after the DA failed. Say what you want about Democrats but at least they acted like they cared unlike Republicans who constantly bashed us.

I was gonna make that comment but I refrained myself from it because Obama is a Democrat.

When the republicans need to pass something, they stick together, but the democrats do not... Do not tell me that the Republicans filibustered the Dream Act back in 2010... Durbin could not whip the votes... It is as simple as that... And it was not the Democrats as a whole who has actually done something for us... It was solely President Obama... I am sick and tired of Durbin's speeches about us on the Senate floor... He was the Majority whip of the Senate back in 2010 and he was not able to whip the votes... It is as simple as that!

I remember, but more Democrats voted for DREAM Act in 2010 than GOP so I don't understand the strategy of wanting more Republicans in the House and Senate. I'm upset with the Democrats, but I also know that those in charge of the GOP do not want to help us. The four pillars was designed by Miller and the alt right to derail a DREAM Act/Border Wall compromise.
