My sister and I who got our payments have W-2 and my mom who got similar message on the IRS website filed as self employed.

We use the same accountant and we all filed 2018 but not 2019... trying to figure out what went wrong with my moms.
I have a W-2. From talking to a few people that haven’t received it, we have in common that we haven’t filed taxes for 2019.

Is that because we have not yet filed taxes DUE this year? But I paid taxes last year.
Im so confused. Help SOS
Im hopeful that they are processing everyone that filed taxes for 2019 first then they will process the rest. Let’s give them until Monday or sometime next week.

Anyone have an idea what method they are using?

Should be direct deposit. They should take it from 2019 tax returns or 2018 tax returns if you haven't filed 2018 yet.

You can check the status here: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

If they are missing your direct deposit information for any reason, either an error on their end or you just didn't provide it, it will prompt you to input it. I've input it today.

Okay so I filed my returns married with a US Citizen spouse and I received my stimulus check. Filed through turbo tax, direct deposit, with one US Citizen dependant.

hi, yes I believe you are correct.

they extended this year's filing so I have yet to file mine, but I also filed my taxes last year, the issue is that I was not on a W-2.

not sure what to do now, I've always paid my taxes...

that is probably the case. I think it may have something to do with being self-employed...
