and Trump was going to save you.... according to some Trump cheerleaders. Trump and the Republicans would deport all dreamers if they could, they see immigrants as a net negative for their status in the US.

Yes, things are going as I had expected (And Trump is not "my boy"). No refiling of papers to get rid of DACA completely. I do feel for the new applications being denied but existing DACA recipients should be good for the foreseeable future. Most people have renewed so they are good until 2022. If Biden becomes President, he will bring back the renewal to 2 years and we will have DACA in place for good.

Not singling him out but when DACA was first started and older dreamers were left it out, some people here had the attitude that "well, those old people already had their shot at getting a green card and if they couldn't find a way to get legal status that's on them" and now that younger dreamers are left out, they're kind of on their own too so in a small way, it's the same old story of "I got mine so screw the others" mentality that green card holders and immigrants who became citizens have.

Speaking of older dreamers who were left out, I'd like to point out that someone who was 29 in 2012 and qualified for DACA could be 37 now...same age I was when DACA first came out so just a little perspective about age. How many DACA holders approaching 37 now have found a way to get a green card? Not so easy now is it?...even WITH DACA.

I am for all Dreamers. 2face is no chump, he's got incredible heart. For all Dreamers, legislation is necessary and hope we can cross that hurdle one day.

I never understood those arbitrary age requirements. I know someone who could not apply because she came here at 17. Really sucks.
