We've known about this memo for a few weeks now. No one's reported approval of one year yet. Mine got denied under the old deadline and I was warned my resubmission would not respect the old date so I'll let you guys know, it's moving along now.

“ For approvable DACA renewal requests, USCIS will limit grants of deferred action and employment authorization under DACA to no more than one year, but will not rescind any currently valid two-year grants of DACA or associated employment authorization documents (EADs), unless USCIS terminates an alien’s DACA for failure to continue to meet the DACA criteria (see 2012 Memorandum), including failure to warrant a favorable exercise of prosecutorial discretion. USCIS will replace two-year EADs that are lost, stolen or damaged with the same facial two-year validity period assuming the EAD replacement application is otherwise approvable.”

I truly hope that you all are correct since I have had a daca renewal in the pipelines since June. I do think we shouldn’t be optimistic about being 2 years if you haven’t gotten an approval yet (and before the memo).

There have been several approvals after the memo was issued. As far as I know, anyone who submitted prior to the deadline got two years

Source? Were they approved after the memo or was their card produced after the deadline?

So my EAD expires Sept 11. I sent my renewal package in August 11, got notified about no longer needed biometrics the week after.

As of 08/25/2020, my EAD is under production.

So you sent a month before expiration ?
Also when you checked your status before the production message was it stuck on we scheduled your biometrics even though you received that letter stating they weren’t going to need you to do bio in person

Yup I've renewed always a month or so before it expires..lol

If I knew about the Chad Wolf bullshit I would have sent it before hand.

I never got the "we scheduled your biometrics" status. It went straight from "received wait for notice blah blah" to "approved. blah blah card under construction."

I'll update when I actually receive it.

Fucking hell dude. I sent mine two months ago on June 25, 2020, also had biometrics waived, and I'm still waiting.

Update:

Got my DACA extension approval letter today.

No card yet though.

Letter notes one year notice but the body says 2 years.
