If you think about it, she keeps coming back to hang out with us inferior NPCs. What does that say about her?

HR is never your friend. i would begin to look for employment elsewhere and dont tell your next employer about your DACA.
They would know weather you want it or not. They have to keep track of your expiration so they can ask for new documents.

They wouldn’t just fire me or the rest of us DACAs just for fear of us losing our permits. We are engineers. Some of us Senior/partner engineers. We’ve managed to develop domain knowledge beyond the replaceable. In the company I work for, I’ve written at least three big pieces of software from scratch that are used all over. That shit breaks they call me.

Knowing the company and how into protecting everyone’s rights they are, they would try to transfer us all out before losing us. I’ve been offered positions in Mexico City. I’m sure if push comes to shove. I can get them to open a req there so I can keep on working.

There are certain companies that would help you and others that would let you go. I do not recommend letting employers know you have daca. There is a stigma of being "illegal" that follows you around. If you say nothing, you just blend in with the other visa and ead employees. I also would not recommend letting your other co-workers know.

Experience is more important and is equated to a degree in certain industries. I have several friends who are programmers with major banks and never went to college. They got certifications and build an extensive portfolio of projects.

Completely agree. My manager probably knows although I doubt it from our conversations in syncs go. But yea, never know your coworkers know. Because, why? But HR. You can’t get around that. They’ll know. They know the moment they hire you because you need to give them your EAD. And explain to them that you don’t need sponsorship. Plus the EAD has the category c33 on it. They know.

Right but if his hero trump or his buddies the republicans manage to pass any kind of bill that would help him and it has a college requirement I am SURe those certifications will help out big time

this is true af, i wont hire if they dont got experience. im not gonna trust a 3 million dollar piece of equipment just like that on any of my plants to engineers without experience cause they tend to waste more in parts and take longer to get equipment up and running and i begin to bleed money.
