thanks!
Yeah, the notice date was on 08/09. I don't know why it's taking so long, but I'm starting to freak out. I cannot lose my job.

No, not yet. I just presumably got approved yesterday. One day after biometrics. Hence why I am skeptical. Anyhow, the is no printable notice yet. I am guessing that I will get one in the mail after a few days. I am just wondering if this is the norm. To get approved and no printable notice.

If you got a notice/letter for your EAD, you can use that.

Can you please share the notice/letter?

I do not have the notice yet, just the case status change to approved. I will once I get something I can print or in the mail.

So USCIS will be getting a 3 day weekend, don't expect any approvals until next Wednesday.

My mom petitioned for me. I don't think my stepdad can, unless he adopted me, though I'm way too old for that.

I'm going to be 30 when I adjust my status, assuming I don't get married before then. That feels like so much wasted time. My biggest fear is DACA becomes discontinued, and then I have to bum around for the remainder of the six years. By the time I adjust my status, my 20s will have been wasted, and I have so much catching up to do.

Do you guys ever resent your parents for getting documented before you? Because you can contribute way more than your parents can because you're younger, and you are presumably better educated.

Im in the same boat. Ill be around 29ish when I get my AOS. But im hoping the priority date for filing the 485 gets current soon. Obama apparently split the priority dates in two last year, one for filing 485 and EAD and one for getting 485 approved. So I have hopes of the prority date for filing the 485 to get current next year (being optimistic here!). Once that happens we can get the better EAD without DACA!!

I dont resent it mainly becuz my parents tried their best in this messed up immigration system and theyve always supported me through all this. I know its not their fault especially since my parents went through the employment sponsorship route and had to go through several employers because they were horrible and the lawyers were bad. So its just my luck unfortunately and i missed my shot at being part of thier petition bcuz i aged out by a year. But soon our time will come. Even if our lives arent as easy going as a typical person in thier 20s, we should make the best of it.

Yeah I'll be 28 during the adjustment process. But please PLEASE try not to consider your 20's a wasted time. With an EAD you can work and start a career. It won't be optimal but don't let it waste.

As for resenting your parents.... I do resent my dad. Something that has been hard for me to deal with. He let the process drag on and when I pushed for it to happen, he got his green card when I had just turned 21! Well I've paid my dues and hope it'll be over soon.
