Makes no sense. Ask her if they're gonna extend your DACA if the effective and expiration date of EAD is different because the approval time is different. That's just dumb. The effective and expiration dates of DACA and EAD cannot be different because you cannot have the employment authorization w/o deferred action.

Spoke with another T2 today -- let me just say, I have been very lucky to talk to polite, accommodating T2's lately -- who told me that nothing has changed since yesterday. He confirmed that both my I-821D and I-765 were approved, and that there indeed was a "failure to produce" on my EAD. He can also see the SR that I submitted yesterday, so that's reassuring.

He also reiterated that it's an internal, operational issue that I can't address. He hoped that the SR will help me figure out specifically why my card did not meet their quality standards the first time around. He didn't think that I would have to redo my fingerprints nor that I should send a new set of passport photos until I know what's really going on.

If I don't hear back from the SR by October 11, I should follow up.

Sigh. Fine. I've done everything I can at this point. I think sending new passport photos might confuse the officers even more and lead to unnecessary delays, so I will just wait. At this point, I have the SR, NILC's flag, ILRC's flag, an ELIS message, and an Ombudsman request in the process. I don't believe I can do anything else at this point other than to lay low and wait.

following up on my 25 minute call with the T2 - (clearly I was upset)

After being on hold for 10 mins, she came back and said that she finally understood what i was saying and would create and expedite SR in which she explained the issue and it would go to the service center.

She gave me the SR # WKD2711xxxxxxCSC and said i should hear back by October 2nd.

A few hours later i have confirmed that this SR reflects on the case tracker and it already shows that it has been assigned to some one for review. Hoping for some closure.

Still upset that no one has accountability - and so many of us are getting "approved" only to deal with this shit and basically being robbed of time.

Yeah. Just got a response for my SR. Confirming approval and that it's in production. We have all this proof, everyone. What if y'all look for something part time or internship that pays and accepts approval notices and doesn't require physical card while y'all are waiting? Just a thought.

Did the SR response mention the same wait 30 day nonsense? Lol

How could you tell that the SR has been assigned to someone for review? Was that on ELIS or case tracker?

from the case status tracker - after logging in i can select my EAD case and it shows me this:

SRs have never shown up on my status tracker. Another inconsistency!

But it's a good thing that yours shows up.

Of course it did! Lol. I now have two emails from them with the "follow up after 30 days if it hasn't been received in the mail" about a week apart from each other. So I'll follow up like so. NILC also flagged my case.

Are you logging in to check case status or are you just putting the receipt number in? If you create a log in, you see it.
