NOTE: Please note that there are technical issues with USCIS’s online e-request tool for requests outside of processing times and that portal (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) often does not allow DACA recipients who are outside processing time to elevate their cases....
It's odd that they say this because I attribute me finally getting a bio appointment because I made an e-request through that portal. I had sent my application back in 6/7 and I made the request on 8/23 (77 days after receipt). On 8/26, USCIS finally scheduled my bio appointment. But then again, I haven't gotten an actual response to my actual E-Request besides the appointment being scheduled. Also, there's the chance that USCIS started to finally start working on scheduling people that were behind, so that could be it.

I'm glad there's a lawsuit against USCIS since it's mostly, if not totally funded by our application fees, so we have full rights to demand them do their job at a reasonable pace.

They're even acknowledging technical difficulties in making service requests! Come on now
No, I didn't get an automatic reply. I took a chance in sending him the email--all of you should, too. Take every opportunity you can get.

I am very sorry for those of you who have not gotten your cases accepted or your EAD's yet. Keep your hopes up.

My EAD expires on 10/17/16. I didn't apply for renewal until August 20. About 50 days before my permit expired. I know, I applied for renewal late and didn't really have much hope that my EAD would come in before the expiration date; however, I was shocked how fast my process went. Not sure if it was because my EAD expired soon, because of the office that filed it - I don't know, all I know is I got very lucky.

Timeline:

Received: 08/23/2016
Biometrics notice shipped on: 8/27/2016
Biometrics: Scheduled for 9/12/2016 Walked in 8/31/2016
Approved: 09/01/2016
Expires: 10/07/2016

I182-D Approval Notice arrived.
My EAD Card is currently under production as of 9/3/2016 and should be receiving it any day now.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

I think what they mean is that the request system doesn't always work. I remember calling a couple of times and having the t1 tell me she couldn't submit a request because the system was down and to call back later. Also, there were some times when I couldn't submit a request because according to the website I was still within processing time (even though my application had been pending for way over 105 days)

True. I guess every individual and every season, USCIS seems to have some sort of new thing going on with applications. I've been in their system for more than 10 years and what works one day, doesn't work another. E-Requests used to be effective before (even more effective than Info-Pass appointments) but now I don't know...

It's just one thing after another with them, that's never changed

I guess all I can tell you guys is to do yourselves a favor and only check once a day... Checking every 5 minutes really doesn't do your mental health any favors. I've still got about month and a half to get everything done, I'm hoping for the best. I'm really going to need that renewed permit now that I got laid off... sigh

The within processing time does not make sense. USCIS site shows March 16 processing time as of June 30th and right now it is September so based on 2 months, applications in early April should have been reviewed and approved by now.
I described this thoroughly in my response on the USCIS's inbox message which stated "Our system shows that your DACA package, which was filed on April 7, 2016, is pending and is within our current processing time. To determine current processing time within USCIS, please visit https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplay.do"

Lets see what they say Probably going to get another automatic message -__-

What do you guys plan to do if Trump gets elected? Will DACA end right away? Is he going to take away EADs and DACAs in his first 100 days of presidency (That is of course if we all get the renewals).
