Killer wait.

Totally worth it.

Legal Alien Allowed to Work.

Are you sure? We are not legal aliens though since we do not bear legal residency, just deferred action.

Just select 'other'. Legal alien is misleading.

Of those who gotten their SSN already:

I have a question regarding filling out the SSA application.
For question 5: Citizenship, which option do I choose:

- U.S. Citizen
- Legal Alien Allowed To Work
- Legal Alien Not Allowed
- Other

Also, we do not have to input our parents' SSNs right, since we are 18+? (so leave it question 8, 9, 10 blank correct?)

Arcane, your question's already answered.
When they input your info, SSA will know that you're there through DACA. You put "Legal Alien Allowed to Work" because this is what will give you a SSN that can be used for work.

If you check "Other" it should be because you're only looking to get SS benefits without using it for work.
Read the instructions on the SS-5 application.

I went to the office today and checked "Legal Alien Allowed to Work" and the lady didn't say anything. If I had been wrong, I would've been told to change it.

woah wait, checking the unknown box means you are answering the questions. I thought if we are 18+ we leave those questions blank. Can anyone confirm this?

You won't be told to change it because they don't know your immigration specifics by just looking at your EAD.

A legal alien allowed to work could be someone with lawful status and lawful presence, examples are: TPS beneficiaires, permanent or conditional residents, H-1B and k-1 visa holders, etc.

A legal alien not allowed to work could be an asylum seeker, a foreign student, or anyone else who is entitled to a social security number but did not apply or qualify for employment authorization but has both lawful status and presence in this country.

The distinction is important because it determines the legend on social security cards. In this case both "Legal alien allowed to work" and "other" might result in having the proper legend printed on the SS card contingent on your immigration status verification.

My point is, it won't make a difference whether you select one or the other but DACA beneficiaries need to understand that they are not a legal aliens.
