I received the text yesterday, re-routed to Nebraska. My package was deliver on tuesday .

Im in New York now and I have a CA driver license. Hopefully I could renew my license online.

My EAD will expire on Nov 12.... will it be fine if i send my renewal now or should i wait a couple of weeks??? what do you guys think...?

Just did a rough calculation and I think you're more than 150 days out. Wait until your inside that time period and send it. The sooner, the better.

Do we need to perform the driving exam again?

yeah you are right i did the math too:
18days-left/june + 31days/july + 31days/aug + 30days/sep + 31days/oct + 12days/nov = 153 days
...now im 153 days until my EAD expires.... so probably next week i will be sending it

i was reading the How to renew your driver license in the California DMV website... and this it what it says:

*Look at your renewal notice. It will tell you if you need to take a written test. If you must take a test, it will include traffic laws and sign test. You will only need to answer the first 18 questions of the 36 question exam. A passing score is at least 15 correct answers. You have three chances to pass...

so now, im not sure until we get the renewal notice...

I have a feeling every state has slightly different renewal requirements.

I'm sending my package tomorrow. Kinda worried since USPS is closed, and I have to drop it off at a mailing pick up station. I honestly don't know why though. Hopefully the automated machine gives me a tracking number.


Also question:

Other than a copy of the EAD, what other evidence did y'all photocopy and send? I read a copy of the I-94 was also needed.
