The delays will affect people who sent in their renewal applications between February 14 and May 14, 2016. In an email to ThinkProgress, a USCIS spokesperson blamed “technical issues” for preventing roughly 500 immigrants from renewing their DACA applications during this time period.

Is this even accurate? I know our forum is only a small sample of DACA recipients, but surely the number is higher?

My actual receipt date is 04/07/16 not September! But on the DHS site, it still shows 04/07/16. Is this a mistake? Anyone else something similar for their case?
Mine showed the same glitch, and then it was approved shortly after :P

I'm sure it is higher, I think they are just trying to keep the numbers low so this will not be seen as the disaster that it really is.

Has to be higher. USCIS wouldn't have released the announcement if the number was not in the thousands. I think the article made a conservative estimate.

Nevertheless, I'm glad someone is reporting on it. Too bad it doesn't say whether USCIS is/has done anything to fix the issue.

the comments on this are ridiculous -

Let me correct the title of this laughable and lame excuse for a news article by this sham of a ‘reporter’ —
“Hundreds Of Illegal Aliens, That Shouldn’t Be Here Nor Allowed To Work Here In the First Place, Are Losing Their Jobs Because Of Their Own Screwup And Their Refusal To Follow And Obey Our Existing Immigration Laws”

um. no.
