Im updating the spreadsheet.

My timeline is as follows:
Application Received: 04/07/2016
Expiration: 08/17/2016

Hopefully I get my EAD next week.

Congrats to everyone approved so far.
My prayers are out for everyone still waiting for approval, I hope you guys get approved ASAP!

I hope everyone else gets approved soon! Praying for you all!

It seems like K-Man was right about the glitch that shows case was accepted September leading to approval soon
I did several service requests, sent messages on USCIS online inbox system, sent emails to NSC, had my case flagged twice by NILC and had my case elevated by ILRC.
When was the last time you checked ELIS without approval?

Sad, but not really sad like I really lost my job... I'm just taking a leave for an undetermined amount of time, which could be 4 days, or 40 days, who knows...
The letter says termination though, they told me that if it didn't I couldn't use it to try to get unemployment benefits (which I won't anyway)...

Anyways... heading home now, don't know when I'll be back to work.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I had to resign at my job and though I knew it was temporary, it still sucked and actually broke down about it. It will be okay! As you can see, approvals are on the move. You still have the job to return to and if not, we're capable to get better jobs as well! Hold on and pray!

I haven't been checking so frequently. Last time I checked was at 1:00 PM eastern time and it was still pending (no approval that time). I was waiting for a tier 2 rep to get back to me because of the sept 5th received date for my application being wrong and I was concerned about it lol. Still didnt get a call back from a tier 2 tho, then I decided to check around 4:30 PM eastern time and I see the Status Message "USCIS has approved your application or petition, or request. USCIS will mail your proof of benefit or USCIS action to you". YAY!

I think approvals are coming very soon, if not today should be tomorrow!

I know that feeling. I haven't been to work since Tuesday, and I went in today to turn in my laptop. The HR lady said she would just hold on to them for me until I get back, but I did have to sign termination/release paperwork, which felt really weird and final.

At the same time, a bunch of mid-April people were getting approved, so it tempered my sadness with a bit of hopefulness. I would tell you to hang in there, but everyone else is already saying it, and I don't want the phrase to lose its meaning.

But I bet I won't get approved til end
Sigh, teacup...I'm sure you've done everything you can, right? SRs, congressman, senator, Infopass, etc. I really hope you will be approved soon. If not, you'll have some company in me. I'm sure I won't get it until the end, as well.

No; he just said he will elevate and try to get a resolution. Jose Magana-Salgado (jmagana@ilrc.org) is the ILRC point of contact for elevation requests. Send your emails to him in the following format:
  1. Name
  2. A#
  3. Receipt Number(s)
  4. USCIS Receipt Date
  5. Brief description of your case and what you've done so far (1-2 sentences)

So happy for the approvals today!
It seems some of you guys employers are more flexible than mine. I expire on o9/10 and was approved on 08/31. Even after telling my employer I've been approved they want EAD by 09/09. Definitely not happening. They won't let me take a leave of absence because according to them I'm technically still employed. I will be terminated and would come back once I have an EAD. Termination will last for a week at most.

I read the article someone posted a couple of pages back and I agree with what one of the persons interviewed said: even after getting approved the perception of your employer might change.

I'll come back to this job but will probably look for something else early next year. Clean slate, kind of thing.

Do most of you guys work in small or large companies? Just curious.

I work for one of the Big 4, and I wasn't worried about perception until it was mentioned here. My firm hires international employees all the time, so they're used to working out EAD issues. They did not treat this like a big deal at all. However, my teams may be a different story. Although all of my co-workers and supervisors have been nothing but supportive and want me to come back ASAP, I do wonder whether now they see me as more of a liability than anything. I'm a top-rated employee, but they might not be able to rely on me as consistently as others because of this one lapse. What if it happens again in two years, you know?

I've been thinking of transferring to another division or another Big 4 anyway (into the M&A advisory practice rather than assurance), so maybe this is the push I needed.

Yea, that's exactly what I was afraid of when I was nearing expiration. I work for a big non-profit sector and only 3 people know of the situation. However, it is quite awkward now. I'm updating them consistantly about the wait but I know they're in a weird place and so am I. They said they'll hang on for however long but it's also got me thinking to maybe look for other opportunities as well. I'm just praying we don't have to go through this again.

My company is pretty big... 120k+ employees. Perception I'm more worried about is people within my group. My boss and my director. For instance, my boss didn't know I was on an EAD. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
