Thank you for the good wishes.

Approved today finally: checked 12 pm PST

04/14/2016 - received
5/02/2016 - bios
9/04/2016 - expired
9/08/2016 - approved

What I did:

Ombudsman request
NILC flagged twice (last week and yesterday)
Email on their ELIS system
Called a million times
Service request inquiry for outside processing time

Pretty sure Ombudsman request was completely useless. NILC and emailing them a million tmies might have worked though

Good luck to the rest of you and fuck uscis

I know, I checked my status and it says they have also sent my greencard LOL. At least I know what it feels to read your status, maybe in a couple of years if I am ever able to adjust. I am sure I will have a deja vu moment.

LOL

Thanks! After the call I got an email asking me if had receive a response from USCIS. I have been approved already so simply thanked for their efforts.

Something to note: She said they now have more staffing capabilities so for those that haven't been approved and haven't gotten your case flagged please reach out to them. At the end of the day it's up to USCIS but might be an option.

At the same time, a bunch of mid-April people were getting approved, so it tempered my sadness with a bit of hopefulness. I would tell you to hang in there, but everyone else is already saying it, and I don't want the phrase to lose its meaning.

LOL

Dude why your case always following mine... we must have the same case officer. Deja Vu for sure, hopefully sometime soon!

After this is done, I'm consulting attorneys to see my options of AOS through marriage to my USC gf. My complication is I'm EWI and I have a deportation order in absentia. Didn't go to court when I was 12 way back in 2000. Honestly, didn't know I had that order until last year.

I just got approved. To recap, my timeline is as follows:

Application Delivered: 4/29/16
Application Processed: 5/2/16-5/3/16, depending on where I looked
Bios: 5/27/16
EAD Expiration: 9/4/16
2nd Renewal Approved: 9/8/16
Follow-Ups Taken:
1. Ombudsman
2. Congressional inquiry (Congressman Xavier Becerra)
3. Senatorial inquiry (Senator Barbara Boxer)
4. Service requests (Tier 1 and Tier 2 inquiries)
5. NILC flag (twice)
6. ELIS Emails
7. SCOPSSCATA Email
8. ILRC elevation (once)

I can't and won't try to pinpoint which of these things finally tipped the scale in my favor, but I can tell you that I pursued every avenue possible to get my answers. Good luck to everyone else. For those who can no longer go back to work, I feel your pain. Best of luck to everyone. I'll stick around to answer questions, share stories, etc.
