I wouldn't worry about it.Usually USCIS does approve applications for an EAD without having to prove 'economic necessity' if it is based on deferred action!

If deferred action allows you to remain in the U.S on a temporary basis, this means that it is given that you must work.

I was kinda worried myself too, I have been saving up some money for the past few years.

I have no plans yet! I tried going to college but what i love (music) is not very good at employing people. I have thought about composing for theater/movies/games? Anyways I plan to be a lifeguard/police officer/fireman while i go to Uni and decide what i want to do.
Physical therapy seems slightly interesting to me.
BTW i am a fitness enthusiast and am in decent shape
