To confirm even more, I got my biometrics letter today and did a walk-in at my local ASC. I probably spent 20 minutes there tops. 6-7 minutes of waiting time and another 12-14 minutes for the actual procedure. I had to fill out a card which rates how well they did their jobs.

Lol... I gave them perfect scores. It was the least I can do. (Also the guy fingerprinting me was laid back as hell. Just smiles and good conversation throughout.)

I didn't mention anything. You walk in, more confident than anything, and they treat you good.
I see people like 'I'm here 30 days before my appointment, I know you're going to reject me, I know it's wrong, I know, I know', well guess what they're probably going to turn you away.

Also Google your ASC, more likely than not there have been I485's trying to walk in and they'll keep a tally of the Good/Bad.

Just to get this right as I am going in for my appointment this Wednesday. A passport or matricula would suffice? (I am bringing both just in case) The birth certificate would only be needed when applying for a SSN?

Since the office is like 15 minutes from house and 25 minutes from school, should i go between classes? or should i go after classes, which end at 3:15 p.m.?

More importantly, what time do the offices normally close? can i walk-in at 4:00-5:00 p.m.?

I live in LA, by the way.

Thanks.

Were you really scheduled at this ASC center?

Add NAPERVILLE, IL to the no walk ins either

I wonder if these are areas with lots of minorities and I wonder if that's why they're stricter.
