Haha, this topic has been derailed...

Anyway! I wish I had known about this two years ago. I had a competition to attend in Portland, OR. I just had my foreign passport renewed at that point because previously - I only had my H.S. ID. I took a two day train from Chicago to attend. It was pretty going there (Glacier Nat'l Park), but it got old/exhausting on the way back. I do not recommend spending 45+ hours on a train. I brought a friend with me, and let's just say she won't be taking trains anymore... lol.

Funny thing is - nobody asked me to show my ID when I boarded the train. Nobody asked me for ANY ID until I arrived at the hotel to pick up a package I had mailed to myself!!! (I've taken Amtrak since - and have been asked for ID so I guess the rules have changed or they're just being enforced now)

Although the idea makes me nervous, I'm willing to test my fate and fly somewhere for once in the near future. I haven't been on a plane since I was 3 years old.

Still, I was wondering about your guys cause I am brown and I have the Mexican look. I need to travel for my job and I was wondering if my mexican look is going to be an issue in the airport. I know it is a lame ass question but I do not want my company to spend good money on a ticket and anticipate my ass in some place just to find out that i was not able to travel.
Do you have a passport? Or any form of id? Lol she said she has the mexican look, somebody told me you look like salma hayek
Nailed! No one in this site has ever seen my ugly face. You have no proof. I will never show you guys my face...ha ha ha!
Joke on me no one cares. Someone told me I look like Salma Hayek when she played Frida Khalo.

You can only get a foreign passport if you are a Citizen of a foreign country.Visas & Residency cards of any country do not condone the primary Citizenship of any country.

However, since you're a US citizen you shouldn't worry about visas at all since you can travel to well over 120 countries without a visa, only Finland & Switzerland citizens can enjoy such equal access to visa-free travel.

Anyway,I've used my Passport alone just to travel & haven't encountered any problems.I think however one should research the state that they would be traveling to just to see if there would be any problems returning. The reason for this is because many states have varying compliances with Real ID & I'd also suggest being careful when traveling to states with Airports close to the border since there have been some reports of ICE agents checking status at random.
