Hi everyone!
I have a question on traveling with Advance Parole.
I filed forAP and got the approval on July 1st.
I am going to travel to South Korea to visit my grandmother before she passes away and planning on returning before school starts in fall.

My question is, is it okay for me to go to South Korea before the documents arrive in mail? (going to Korea without the documents).

Are the documents required when I am leaving U.S?

Then have my family mail the documents to Korea while I am there, so I can have it with me when I return to U.S.?

I have been waiting for it to come by mail for 9 days, but I have to be in Korea real soon, so I have no time to wait.

Thank you in advance!

My stupid question is after getting AP, can we travel to Canada or Mexico with expired passport? is this even possible?
Are you 25 or under? If you defer your military service before the age of 25, you can renew your passport. I was given 10 years passport when I notified the korean embassy. Right now I am 25.

You don't need anything to leave the country. You could leave right now and no one would care. The problem is getting back. So if you left now with out getting your notice, you are basically giving up DACA and even if you did get approved, the border agents who will look at it won't know and will not allow you back. I know it sounds weird why wouldnt they even you are already approved, but your work card states not valid for reentry.

So to make this short: You NEED your A.P notice. Don't forget, even WITH A.P they can STILL not allowed you in, based on their own judgements.

I strongly suggest you get your A.P first

WHAT THE OFFICIAL DOCUMENT LOOKS LIKE

Hi Everyone,

I just got approved for AP under humanitarian reasons. I wanted to share with you all what the official document looks like -- I just removed my personal information at the top and my photo from the bottom. but left all the stuff that matters most.

Read it carefully. Best of luck to you all!! wish me luck too.

I feel somewhat safe about this because my mother is a US citizen and I have a pending I130 with her.

Question:
I am 32 yrs. old. Got approved for DACA on December of last year. Came to the USA when I was 13 with a Visa and have been here ever since then. I obviously have my HS diploma, some college and currently going to a nail tech program in which I am almost done and ready to graduate. I have been thinking of the Advance Parole to go to Mexico (my country of origin) to take a nail course there since the techniques are very different and I want to learn them because my future plan is to have my own salon.
I have 2 daughters (2 and 5 yrs old.) of whom I have sole custody ( I am divorced).
Does anybody know if there's a possibility for me to get the AP and travel to Mexico with my 2 daughters so that I could take an express nail tech course there so that I can learn the techniques they use down there? I already investigated where I would take the course.
thank you so much.

I-130 is a family-based immigrant petition, it has nothing to do with AP. Besides, you can only file it if you have an LPR or citizen immediate family member willing to be your sponsor.
