My congressman being Luiz Gutierrez, the "GUY" didn't even help me, his office told me to contact them.

Did you call his Washington office?

I called his Chicago office, although I just went to his website and there's a form you need to fill out and take in person to his office, I think I'm going to try that. I just don't want to further complicate the issue, I already filled out a claim with Ombudsman AND emailed my center.

I called the Washington office and the girl that answered told me she was going to give the details to someone there so they can reach out to USCIS. But since I had also contacted the Ombudsman office, they sent me an email today that USCIS told them I got approved today. Seems like they approved my case once they reached out to USCIS. the only thing I'm concerned about, is that status update hasn't changed on my case yet.

As for Luis Gutiérrez, ironically their office couldn't help me here in Chicago. That's why I faxed the federal agency form to Washington DC. Since I'm already approved, I don't know what's going to happen now with that. Seems like I won't be getting my EAD anytime next week so I will still be fired from my job.

Yes, they told me that if I don't show them my renewed EAD by next week on Monday(3 more days), I will lose my job. I'm not going to work this coming Monday. However, I had an interview today for even better job and I got it. I just need my new EAD first. I also got a notification that my DACA and EAD have been approved, and that my card has been mailed out. I'm going to call them to ask them for the tracking number.

Hey glad to hear things worked out for you! Even if you don't like your current job I suggest to call them and inform them that you respectfully resign effective immediately. Best of luck with your new job so you can start a new chapter!

Yeah that's why I was freaking out because I wanted the job that interviewed me today. At least I'll be starting a week after this coming Monday. I will resign to make it easier for them today. I'm actually here at work right now, so glad it's my last day here. I went to interview and asked the boss for permission to let me take a one hour break. However, since they have ordered production of the new card, how long does it take for them to mail it out?

Usually it takes 7-10 days to get the new card. I would keep an eye on the tracking number just in case. I suggest to start your new job after 2 weeks just in case, that way you don't have to say anything at your new job.

I also got a job offer and start date is Nov. 3rd and my EAD expires on Nov. 9th. My attorney contacted the Ombudsman so I hope I get approved soon as well. All the best!
