You know Trump likes for people to know he's the one calling the shots. With an important political issue like this that he personally cares about, I'm thinking he'll make that decision. It's hard to believe, but for some weird reason I think he actually has a soft spot for dreamers.

After Trump kept DACA, his poll numbers still holding tight.

Trump wants to patch his image up with Hispanics.

Nothing to lose on Trumps part if he keeps DACA.

His daughter Ivanka, his billionaire friend want to keep DACA alive.

On another issue related to immigration, Trump said that he, and not subordinate officials, would make the decision about what to do with President Obama's program that shields more than 750,000 people from deportation who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children.

"It’s a decision that I make, and it’s a decision that’s very very hard to make. I really understand the situation now," Trump said.

"I understand the situation very well. What I’d like to do is a comprehensive immigration plan. But our country and political forces are not ready yet," he added.

Trump's Homeland Security secretary, John Kelly, had suggested in remarks Wednesday that Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions might make the final decision about the program, known as DACA, if it is challenged in court.

Trump's remarks appeared to suggest that he would not delegate the decision to Sessions.

Sound's like Trump is calling the shots, haha.

Only good thing you can say about nepotism in Trump administration is that at least Ivanka and Jared aren't racists and anti immigrants like Bannon and Miller.

After everything that's been happening with this administration and Trump, you cannot possibly believe that you know what he wants deep down. What he wants 'deep down' changes by the minute. But I think you're right that he's kept it as a bargaining chip

How is anyone even surprised by his statements? it's the same as with everything else, ambiguous enough that he can chance his position later on, one way or the other, depending only on what benefits him

Pretty much what I have been predicting since the news came out, no one knows what's going to happen with DACA, but there still hope.

What he is saying is simple. He's saying that its pretty much impossible for this fucked up do nothing Congress to pass any damn bills. Now Trump realizes that the establishment is much stronger than he is. He touted himself as a big "deal maker". Now he sees how tough its going to get this Congress to pass bills. Democrats and Republicans keep fighting each other and never compromise.

It basically means that there's a good chance he doesn't intend to defend DACA if the AG's sue because of that fucker Jefferson Sessions. He did a great job in keeping it alive and there's no doubt he wants it to remain alive before anyone starts attacking my ass. I was 100% right on that. Its up to Congress at this point. He has shown he isn't very good with "cutting deals." He can't even get the fucking Health Care bill through Congress. No fuckin way "Immigration Reform" is happening.
