It just blows my mind that they think "border security" automatically becomes "deporting 11 million undocumented". The fear mongering they're using to validate their cause is disgusting. I'm sure these assclowns don't even know how the legislative process works, but want to demand these laws to pop out of thin air.

It's so frustrating that 100 of them can make 800K look like dumbasses in a day. I don't even want to imagine the type of shit that they would pull if a Dream Act + Security Bill got to a vote in Congress.

Believe it or not, this kind of protesting is actually pretty common. I wouldn't panic about it, however, if the news starts cycling it over and over again then maybe. But with hurricane maria and other news items cycling through I don't think it'll hold. That's the plus side of a 24 hour news cycle, it refreshes so often things usually don't stick. (Bad when DACA becomes an old talking point, good when stuff like this fades into the cycle.)

My biggest thing is if other immigrant groups start doing something like this. But from the their Immigrant Youth facebook wall, I doubt that will be the outcome either.

Deep breath folks!

Some people really have the guts to say we only care about us and not the rest of the community. I've seen dudes ask "where were these dreamers when everybody else wanted CIR?" Like dude I supported that but it never came to be. Why are they trying to piggyback off us knowing quite well now is not the time for CIR?

They don't think that. They just need this issue to stay alive unresolved as long as possible because that's why these orgs exists and raise money.

They have to use a straw man. Otherwise, their argument does not hold. It's really annoying having to listen to their false claims.

I stopped reading after the third grammatical error. Instead of protesting, they need to go to college!

A comment under the "clarification videos" they released on facebook...

"If you guys required a clarity video clips to explain today's events, then your tactics didn't succeed."

So simple.
