yeah ridiculous getting "killed" comment, the democrats were defending 24 seats compared to the republicans 9 seats.

the point of the "blue wave" was to be able to overcome a bad condition... what you are saying is "well dems did good in favorable areas and bad in unfavorable ones"

-- that's what NORMALLY happens, ie no wave. D's underperformed compared to historical house flips, and they underperformed in the senate. Every candidate that Obama stumped for lost. Florida went full R at a state level (not county!) which is the real bellweather for 2020.

I think Democrats got what they needed. 218+ seats and counting for the house and the republican don’t have 60 in senate. If they decide to act on DACA we will get a more reasonable bill or Donald Trump will spend next two years twiddling his thumbs if he doesn’t want to compromise.

i wasnt really expecting for a “blue wave” or for the senate to flip. the senate map werent just in Ds favor.

taking the house is a good first step for checks & balances.

I know we all care a lot about immigration, but Dems winning the House is important for democracy (checks and balances Trump dearly needs) and at the end of the day that is more important than anything.

@jimsciutto
Day after the election, Pentagon announces no longer calling US military mission on southern border ‘Operation Faithful Patriot’. Now calling it ‘border support.” No reason given for the change.

lol @ notions of "democracy"
races being called with 2% of votes in because of how hilariously one-sided districts can get is no "democracy".
