If Nancy counter offers then she will get blamed for the shutdown. I think she should stick to her guts and demand that the government be opened and then they will discuss border security. However, I think the democrats might just cave or somebody might bring a discharge petition. Who knows? Let's see what happens.

If Nancy flat out rejects the deal then the blame will be shifted to her caucus for not negotiating.

That's a good point, Nancy can't really reject it out right. If she does, then the Democrats will start losing the PR battle.

Nancy might come back and demand a path to citizenship instead of temporary BRIDGE Act for the package.
