Problem is the government contract workers. A friend of mine is one such contractor; he had to use vacation time to get paid in the time he was off work. He used up all of his vacation time luckily to get paid (his coworkers weren’t as lucky). There is no back pay for them. If another shutdown happens, they’re screwed

"Contractors" should know better that their jobs are not secured. That's the very definition of contracting business, basically their services are on-call. They should always have rain money saved up.

Oh hi Wilbur Ross. I’m sure some of them missed mortgage payments or credit card payments. This talking point form Fox News should be embarrassing.

I’m sure contractors enjoyed their paid vacation, btw.
