If I’m not mistaken, what the White House is hoping for, is the Supreme Court to place an emergency injunction on renewals while they hear the case.

So although they may make a decision until 2020, DACA could end a lot earlier than that for some.

Not to mention Trump would welcome a 2020 DACA ruling which will most likely be a win for him because that can entice his base and get out the vote.

Hopefully they allow renewals to continue until a final decision is made. They could have taken this up ASAP but instead it appears that they’ve been hesitant for some reason. Maybe they don’t want to pull the rug from under us? Doesn’t mean that they won’t eventually.

If they halted renewals until a SC decision, that'd be pretty messed up (but I guess that's what they're aiming for in DHS, not sure if SC will go with it).

If Trump wins on DACA in 2020 in SC, it's really messed up that'd rally more voters when polling numbers show 70-80% in favor of DACA. You'd think that doing something against strong majority support would hurt him... but then again it's really hard to tell anymore.

Yeah I agree. So far I see a lot of optimism from the courts on DACA so let’s hope that’s a good sign and the Supreme Court allows renewals while they make a final decision.

They won't take renewals away...

They probably won't even take the case...

@cristianafarias: “The Trump administration has asked #SCOTUS to reverse a Fourth Circuit decision holding that Trump’s wind-down of #DACA was unlawful.

This won’t be acted on for a while, so I’d expect the future of the program to remain up in the air for a quite a bit.”

“@SirCharles94: “Months? Years? How long would you estimate? Also if the SC does take up the case, would renewals stop then or is it up to the court?”

@cristianafarias: “Hard to say the specific timing, as there are other cases bubbling under that may delay what the justices do. If they do take up the case, #DACA will stay in place until they decide it — which could come as late as June 2020.”

Dude, I live in CA. I don't need DACA to be admitted into the bar or practice law.

I am not a Trump supporter.

We will be ok. We have been here many times before.

The real question is why Pianos has not been banned. He keeps writing the same stupid shit over and over again.

I have a feeling some of the news outlets are reading the forums.

DOJ asked 5/24/19 per the article. I posted this 5/28/19

Mainstream media catches on 5/29/19
