We're resident aliens as far as the IRS is concerned.

There's no DACA or EAD extension in this bill.

Where can we read the newest bill?

From the text of the bill:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“(3) ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUAL.—The term ‘eligible individual’ means any individual other than—

“(A) any nonresident alien individual,

“(B) any individual with respect to whom a deduction under section 151 is allowable to another taxpayer for a taxable year beginning in the calendar year in which the individual’s taxable year begins, and

“(C) an estate or trust.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Us DACA recipients are considered Resident Aliens for tax purposes since we pass the "Substantial Presence" test:

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/inte...-presence-test

This is my understanding of the whole thing.

Doesn’t that mean that anyone who filed taxes is eligible for this then?

There’s like what 12 million illegal aliens? Even 5 millions of those completely stopping buying/spending is gonna dent the economy

I am thinking they are going to require a valid social security number which eliminates all the TIN undocumented taxpayers, that would be the easy way.

Here it is, from the bill: must have a Valid Social Security number so it excludes TIN taxpayers.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

22 ‘‘(g) IDENTIFICATION NUMBER REQUIREMENT.—
23 ‘‘(1) IN GENERAL.—No credit shall be allowed
24 under subsection (a) to an eligible individual who
1 does not include on the return of tax for the taxable
2 year—
3 ‘‘(A) such individual’s valid identification
4 number,
5 ‘‘(B) in the case of a joint return, the valid
6 identification number of such individual’s
7 spouse, and
8 ‘‘(C) in the case of any qualifying child
9 taken into account under subsection (a)(2), the
10 valid identification number of such qualifying
11 child.
12 ‘‘(2) VALID IDENTIFICATION NUMBER.—
13 ‘‘(A) IN GENERAL.—For purposes of paragraph (1), the term ‘valid identification number’ means a social security number (as such
term is defined in section 24(h)(7)).

What about those married filing jointly, with one person having SSN and the other ITN?

According to this both would have to have a SSN:

22 ‘‘(g) IDENTIFICATION NUMBER REQUIREMENT.—
23 ‘‘(1) IN GENERAL.—No credit shall be allowed
24 under subsection (a) to an eligible individual who
1 does not include on the return of tax for the taxable
2 year—
3 ‘‘(A) such individual’s valid identification
4 number,
5 ‘‘(B) in the case of a joint return, the valid
6 identification number of such individual’s
7 spouse,

12 ‘‘(2) VALID IDENTIFICATION NUMBER.—
13 ‘‘(A) IN GENERAL.—For purposes of paragraph (1), the term ‘valid identification number’ means a social security number (as such
term is defined in section 24(h)(7)).

Damn, that would hurt a lot of people

This thread's title is very misleading.

The US Senate passed their own bill, negotiated by Senate, House, and White House, meaning the House bill isn't getting a vote and the Senate version will be taken up by the House tomorrow.

So no, we are not getting any "extensions".

We do however, qualify for the rebate of $1,200!!! $$$$$$$$$$
