Some people don't understand that the Democratic Senator in W VA has a different incentive structure than the vast majority of the Dem caucu and you can talk all you want about accountability, primarying people while screaming about ending the filibuster and it won't do a lick of difference other than misdirecting your anger on people who are trying to help you.

I guess the false hope of having some agency is better than the realist assessment that if a whole lot of things go our way, we are fucked.

The best part is we are tearing our hair about the parliamentarian and right now reconciliation is in danger of being torpedoed by like 4 different sides.

I never said anything about the filibuster. Also, I have acknowledged that getting Manchin and Sinema to vote in favor of the budget reconciliation with immigration is a different challenge. What I am saying is that it’s ok to hold Democrats accountable if they are evidently pretending like the parliamentarian is an obstacle here. The parliamentarian isn’t. That’s not helping me. That’s playing us for fools.

Wrong…the only people endangering reconciliation with immigration are the Senate Democrats listening to the parliamentarian when they can just ignore the bitch. That’s what our problem is.

I don't think Manchin and Sinema has a problem with immigration they have a problem with $3.5 Trillion. Manchin wants to bring it down to 1.5 Trillion but not sure what Sinema's number is. If there's no immigration in the Reconciliation bill and it's 3.5T, Manchin won't vote for it (according to him).
