Yes, just call and if the first person you speak to (Tier 1) don't have much to say, try and ask to be transferred to a Tier 2 officer.

Guys, I apologize for sounding like a broken record. But I know I won't have my EAD in the mail this week, but I was approved last week. My CA driver's license expires in 2019, and I never got a "corrected" license in the past two years. I have a flight to Hawaii coming up this Friday--should I bring a copy of current passport just in case? The passport won't have any US visas on it.

I wanna know what would be the best course of action that won't get me in trouble at the airport.

I wouldn't worry much since your DL is not expired. Bring your DACA approval document--it's now downloadable for me through ELIS and we were approved same day. This should also come in the mail before Friday, if not tomorrow.

Is this the first time you're flying out of state?

I just came back from Hawaii a week ago. Mine expires january 2017. All you need is a non expired government approved ID (which is your CA DL) and your boarding pass to get through TSA. That's all I bring to any domestic travel.

No, I've flown domestically a lot over the past two years. This recent trouble with my renewal has thrown my mind for a loop. I feel like I can't trust my own logic, and there's going to be some sort of problem with TSA or something. Like the TSA dog or TSA agent can detect the undocumented in me.
