I work in a hospital setting and I will be getting the boot as soon as my permit expires.
I called today and the person did not seem to understand how my career depends on this piece of plastic. I was given a BS confirmation number, what's it for ? I have no idea, she told me "you will get it eventually" . I may end up selling my car, just so I can pay rent and bills, the last thing i want is an eviction and bad credit.

My typical day for the past month:
Wake up, check status, go to work.
Get home from work, go on the forum and read all the posts.
Check status and then check again before bedtime.
I always read the posts first because I don't want to lose track of where am I. Today in the middle of reading page 507, I decided to open a new tab and check my case just for the heck of it because I'm so exhausted from this whole ordeal. I was not expecting anything so when I saw I got approved I remained very calm. My first reaction was to take screenshots and then go back on this forum because I want to thank everyone for all your support, encouragements, prayers, and advice. This delay is not our fault and we did everything possible so for those who are still waiting, you will be next. Hoping to hear more good news!

Based on the speed at which new renewals are getting processed at there is a chance you could be okay depending on when you expired. Make sure you stay up to date with the DACA news. I almost made a horrible mistake. I never got the notice to apply within 150 because of delays, or I got it but never read it or paid attention, and bam when I renewed I had in mind my old expiration date. Not only did I apply within 119 days which was already outside the 120-150 days recommended but I lost a month based on my old expiration date.
I got approved already and I am just waiting on my EAD to arrive in the mail I hope. |
