I'm going to this one: 8658 S SACRAMENTO AVE CHICAGO, IL 60652 (once I get my EAD of course) I already printed out the application and filled it out and got my passport ready, so I wont waste time filling it out at the office.

I do not have a passport, I do have my birt certificate in spanish. Do you think they will acept my matricula as a form of ID? I have been calling all day long and no luck...

Your Birth Certificate should be enough, it doesn't have to be translated.

Just to be safe, take your Matricula as well.

according the application: http://ssa.gov/online/ss-5.pdf

you can bring ONE original document of:

- School record showing age/date of birth
- School ID showing date of birth
- Copy of medical record
- Foreign birth certificate

so they do not accept matriculas. to be on the safe side, bring 2 of those i mentioned above

I read on yelp that the office on 5130 W North Ave is very organized and the employees are nice and helpfull.. umm I kind of have my doubts about that lol Gov employees tend to be mean.. but we will see.. I just got approved last night and still have to wait for my card to arrive..
