Ask if you're not in the system if you can void the whole application. Then wait 3 more days and do it again.

Might be better than not being in the system and having your application sitting in someone's desk for another week before they try to do a second IV check.

Sooo I went to the SSA and man was that a long wait. Two hours after getting my number, I got called. I asked if it was always busy and they said that they were closed on Monday and that they were starting to cut the hours even shorter so people were flooding offices.

Anyway! I was nervous patiently waiting for the lady to say something while she typed away into the computer.
"Oh! Looks like you're all good. You should have your card in five days. Immigration verified your document."

I got the receipt, it said two weeks, no reference number. Yes!
On Tuesday, I will pickup a printout and head straight to the DMV.

Yeah I had almost the same deal as you. I went to my local office which was about 20min away. There was a line outside. After I got inside the building I had to wait almost 2 hours after I got my number. I saw one or two people for DACA getting sent back because they did not have a valid passport/ID. Make sure you take your EAD and a valid passport or birth certificate (I believe). Also fill out this application BEFORE you go to reduce your wait time. (Social Security App)Message me if you have any questions about the application. They will also ask you "Did you ever work in the US?" make sure to say No... Anyways I got my receipt and they told me I could come in Tuesday of next week to get a print out of my number. NOTE: I DID NOT WAIT MY 10 DAYS. WENT ON MY 7TH DAY

I didn't wait ten days to apply for my ssn since my brother applied for it two days after he got his ead and got his card less than a week. I did the same thing he did and went two days after my ead came, but it'll be 2 weeks and I still haven't received it. I'm planning on going in on Tuesday to ask for a print out since my appointment for my written test is on Wednesday. We went to the same office too so it's weird that it's taking longer for me.

Haha! Thanks. I hope so too, at least the print out is what I need most.

Oh yes, I don't have a valid passport, but she only asked for my "valid immigration document" and birth certificate. I gave her both and she started asking me for my current address which is all on my expired Matricula so I gave her that to make it easier on her.

The questions she asked here:

- Have you ever worked in the U.S.?
- Have you ever had a social assigned to you before?
- How long have you lived in the U.S.?
- Are you part of the 'Deferred Action' program?

That's all.

Yeah, I also handed over my BC and EAD. But I was never interviewed. The associate said one sentence to me.

Oh wow, the associate knew about DACA? I love informed associates. I believe you should get your SSN card quickly, I received it in four days.

So I went to SS office to get my SSN. I only showed my expired passport and EAD. I thought I would get away with the expired passport, but nope they wouldn't accept it . The passport been expired for about a year and thought renewing it would be useless since I don't travel outside the US. Well I guess I learn my lesson that passport should be renew once it's expired. The only way I can renew it is by mail it and that would take another week to process ugh.

So they sent you home? Do you have a birth certificate? Sorry to hear that. You could try another office.

Hooray for the four days group! Happy birthday! It really is a great gift. My birthday isn't until March but I will have a holly jolly holiday.
