Totally agree. I think the border is sercure enough. The relatively easiest way would be through the desert, but that way is almost 65%-75% guaranteed death for people crossing. If Republicans want the fence, that's the stupidest way to go and a waste of money. But hey, if that's what they want, give it to them (as far as funding to continue the project) through CIR. I think what Republicans are really aiming for is to get Obama and Democrats to make e-verify mandatory. I think that would really make life even more difficult for the illegal immigrant community.

Desert is too hot(no pun intended) sensors are spread throughout the known routes, not to mention infrared cameras and remote controlled hawks. The easiest way is through the border itself but I won't go into detail. It's all a matter of supply and demand as long as there is demand people will find a way to pay and get over. Plus who do you think is gonna pick the fruits and vegetables? I've had a BP agent tell me straight out that during picking season they turn a blind eye because they know no one else will pick their food.
