"It's better safe than to be sorry" is a perfectly fine reason but when you pay a grave amount and they don't satisfy you with their services then it really becomes just a waste of money when you become more capable of doing it yourself.
1) We are 3 sisters. Not only did they not mail our applications as we were told, they sent my little sister's package 2 weeks after they sent for me and my older sister's. 2) My little sister's application package was REJECTED because they FORGOT to attach the MONEY ORDERS. 3) My little sister's application package was REJECTED AGAIN because after resending it the SECOND time they forgot to reattach the I-821D and I-765 forms. Time is wasted. Now her wait time is going to be prolonged due to the fact that now they are inundated with so much more applications. All of this is unnecessary. In hindsight, we were capable of doing this ourselves not only in a timely manner but also $4,500 richer. Excuse the rant. |
But with that said... when things DO go as planed, it is most definately worth it id say. I too have had my bad experiences with attorneys and their firms, PURE NEGLIGENCE has caused us to lose so much $$$$$... but I found a diffrent attorney And thank God the couple of times my family and I have needed his assistance they have done a good job.
SOMETIMES ITS GIVE AND TAKE?!!

I pretty much had to do everything including finding someone else to translate my birth certificate and here's the Funny / messed up part... back in July she told me that all I needed was only birth certificate, tx id, and diploma. well then turns out she didn't mail the application till mid October cuz "I failed to submit more information " and she thought I wanted to take my time with this!!!?! Really? |

Oh by the way my lawyer told me if there was something wrong with my application it would not affect MY status and MY application because when you hire an attorney it is their fault if something is wrong so that was one perk of hiring a lawyer.
