I actually volunteered for 30+ hours a week for two straight months to make sure President Obama got re-elected. I live in a crucial swing state and feel so good that I made a strong contribution to make sure DACA survived and now an immigration bill, that Republicans are even growing to accept, may be passed soon.

Arrr, I'm waiting, I'm waiting. I wonder if $55K is too low though? I mean I have a pretty good GPA and some pretty solid skills. I'm really jumping over this job opportunity since it's the first one that came my way, haha.

Do you have any experience at all? GPA doesn't matter anything. Experience and school is what matters but an Engineering degree is always a good one. It depends really in you area. Where I live, there are lot of technology companies so lots of chances here. Have you tried looking for jobs at all? 55K a year is pretty good but just remember engineering jobs don't have a very good ceiling meaning whatever you are being offered is where youre gonna get stuck at.
