I didn't work nor go to school? Wow ok. I thought that is all I did during the last 9 years. I guess I was wrong. JJ Glo on the internet told me so.

Therefore I think sonawabitch is in his right to apply for DACA so long as he left AFTER he turned 16, but that he returned before June 15, 2007.

Amusingly enough I was really worried about this point. I came to the US when I was 17, but left when I was 15 and only came back TWO weeks before I turned 16. I mean still I was pretty much in the clear, but that was a very razor thin meeting the requirements on my part.

No, if you came before 16 and worked or studied, then left BEFORE 16, there is an exception. He came before 16, didn't work, didn't study, then left AFTER 16, he does not qualify.

I lol'd ahah

But all jokes aside, you shouldn't be envious of him and say he shouldn't get his DACA just because he came here legally or for whatever reason. Bottom line is if he meets the requirements and is here undocumented now, he has as much of a right to a work permit as someone who came here when they were 2 years old.

To be honest, your statement almost makes me think you'd be one of those immigrants who came here on the green card lottery and preach and protest for no legalization for those who have been here for a long time.

If people pose no threat to this country and aren't going to be a leech on society, there is absolutely no reason for them not to be legal, why not? This country is huge and should welcome everyone who's willing to contribute to it with open arms, don't you think?

Anyway, I'm starting to rant lol just cause you got your papers, don't sit there saying others deserve it less than you do. Don't be one of those people who forget where they came from.

Go back one page. That is based on that technicality OF YOUR INITIAL ENTRY BEING MONTHS BEFORE TURNING 16.

That the second part about having some sort of life here is what makes it complicated.

I don't have an issue with you applying or trying. I take issue with your bitching and complaining every day. You should be the last person complaining to dhs about your case.

The fact of the matter is, they are excusing kids who left before 16 AND worked/went to school before they left, you think they would excuse someone who left after 16? What's so hard to understand?

Requirement is to have entered before 16. If you entered before 16 and then left before 16, you're find as long as you went to school or worked. If you entered before 16, then left after 16, you're fucked.
