Id take that baby any day, conditional or regular. Look at it this way, you'll be able to visit family back home, apply for jobs without any hassle, maybe some financial aid who knows, etc...............

it could very well be

Conditional Permanent Residency then 5 years, green card, then 3 years, citizenship
It would have to be Conditional Permanent residency for 5 years, remove conditions,Then you can apply for N-400[Naturalization] immediately just like the article mentioned.

We however must confirm that is actually a Conditional GC or it's gonna be strange how a non-immigrant RPI status can function towards the residency requirements for Naturalization purposes.

This is getting confusing ! We wouldn't know till tomorrow
So we have to wait 5yrs to get GC ? Or we get a CGC for 5 years the a regular green card then apply for citizenship ?

In bold!

Removal of the conditions turns it into a regular Green card.Residency for the purposes of Naturalization also count on a CGC.

hmmmmm but these are under the current immigration laws and whatnot, shouldnt a CIR change all of this? Isn't this the point of a immigration reform?

I think we should probably just wait for the bill then,I was only speculating on what would make sense.

If they give everyone RPI status their status would also count towards the purpose of Naturalization as well but I read they specifically said Naturalization requires a GC for at least 3 years which means I don't think RPI will count for purpose of meeting the US residency requirement for Naturalizing.
